Our Story
Harvest at Sea was born out of a burden to reach people with the Gospel in places that are often overlooked. What began as a simple desire to be used by God grew into a clear calling to minister both at sea and in ports around the world.
As the Lord opened doors, Johnathan and Heather began to see that cruise ships are filled with people from many nations, backgrounds, and walks of life — especially international crew members who spend long periods away from home, family, and church. With that realization came a deep burden to create opportunities for worship, encouragement, fellowship, and Biblical preaching right where they are.
At the same time, God placed a desire in their hearts not only to minister onboard, but also to serve through hands-on mission work in ports of call. From ship to shore, the vision of Harvest at Sea became clear: to share the love of Christ, strengthen believers, and meet practical and spiritual needs wherever God provides the opportunity.
Harvest at Sea is more than a name — it is a calling. It reflects a heart for the harvest of souls, whether on the sea, in the ports, or among those the world may easily pass by. What was once just a seed of burden and obedience has grown into a missions ministry devoted to worship, outreach, service, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Today, Harvest at Sea continues with one simple desire: to follow the Lord faithfully, serve people compassionately, and make Christ known wherever He opens the door.
